Southern California family en route to San Jose missing

VALENCIA, Calif. — A search is underway for a Southern California family that went missing while traveling from Portland, Ore., to San Jose.

The Thottapilly family — 42-year-old Sandeep, 38-year-old Soumya, 12-year-old Siddhant and 9-year-old Saachi — hasn’t been heard from since Thursday, according to a missing notice posted to Facebook.

“Family has been on a road trip from Portland, Or (sic) to San Jose, CA and we lost contact with them on 04/05,” the notice reads in part.

They were traveling in a maroon Honda Pilot, and their last known location was the Klamath-Redwood National and State Parks area, roughly 50 miles north of Eureka, Calif.

The Signal reported that the family is from Valencia, Calif. Sandeep Thottapilly works as a vice president for Union Bank, according to his Facebook and LinkedIn pages.

Anyone with information about the family’s whereabouts can contact their local police department.
